على الرَغمِ من وَجَازَتِهِ وصِغَرِ حَجْمِهِ ، فَهُوَ مِنْ آخِرِ ما كَتَبَ من مُؤلَفَاتٍ، وَهُوَ الكِتَابُ الوَحْيدُ الَذي أَلَّفَهُ في عِلمِ رَسْمِ المُصْحَفِ ، ولَمْ يُشتَهَرْ أمرُهُ كَثيراً ، ومِن ثَمَّ لم يَقِفْ عِنْدَهُ كَثيرٌ مِنَ الباحِثينَ في تُراثِ ابنِ الجَزَري ، أو الدارِسيْنَ لِرَسْمِ المُصْحَفِ ، وَهُوَ يَتَضَمَنُ اخْتياراتِ ابنِ الجَزَري في هذا العِلمِ ، ويَتَكامَلُ مَعَ ما ذَكَرَهُ في كِتابِهِ النَشْر ، وما أثبَتَهُ في مُصْحَفِهِ الَذِي صَحَّحَهُ بالاعتمادِ على أُمَهاتِ كُتُبِ الرَسمِ .
