Dictionary of Al-Hafiz Abi Amr Al-Dani's Sheikhs

This book is about the Sheikhs who taught Al-Hafiz Abi Amr Al-Dani, the Imam of reciters in Morocco and Andalusia. The author compiled the mistakes in their biographies made by authors and verifiers in order to criticize such mistakes. This book was authored in occasion of the establishment of a school teaching the recitations in commemorating of their millennium. The book also presents the biography of Al-Dani and his residence in the care of two Emirs, Al-'Amiri and his son. It includes his activities and the sayings of scholars about him, records his journey seeking knowledge and part of his narration, and studies dictionaries, authoring them, the author's compilation of the Dictionary of Al-Dani's Sheikhs, the methodology of verifying their names, and their biographies. It also clarifies the rules, set by him, of being a sheikh on recitations, and gives reasons behind the small number of chains of narration for him compared to those included in the rules set by the Sheikhs of Andalusia.
