"The Compulsory Pauses in the Holy Qur'an" Poem

This book is considered one of the most valuable books to be written on realizing the places of the compulsory pause in the Holy Qur'an as it is a poem, considering that poems are easier in memorizing and vowelizing than prose even if it is flowery. Because it is unique in this field, no poem is known but this poem regarding this type of pauses. The composer of this poem is a well-focused person who depicted the eighty places that Al-Sijawindi, may Allah have mercy on his soul, in his book Al-Waqf wa Al-'Ibtida' (Pausing and Starting of Reciting), and this depiction was in fifty-six lines that are well-composed of strong words and expressions. No doubt this poem is well composed since Al-Sarhi, as biographers say, is "a scholar who verifies in the science of Recitations and has contributions in Arabic Grammar and other sciences."

This book is written by Shams Al-Deen Abi Al-Hasan Ali Bin Muhammad Al-Sarhi Al-yamni.
