بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم المُفَصَّلُ فِي عُلُومِ التَّجوِيدِ سَنَواتٌ مِنَ البَحْثِ وَالتَّحقِيقِ، والدَّرْسِ والتَّدرِيسِ، أَنْتَجَتْ فِيهَا يَدُهُ الغَوثَانِيَّةُ الرَّاسِخَةُ هَذَا السِّفْرَ العَظِيمَ. أَبْحَرَ فِيهَا فِي رَوافِدِ عُلومِ هَذا الفَنِّ الفَريدِ، مُفَصِّلًا مَسائِلَهُ الواضِحاتِ مِنْها والمُتَشابِهاتِ، وَمُظْهِرًا دَقائِقَ نُكَتِهِ وَفَرائِدَ نَوادِرِهِ، مُحِيطًا بِكُلِّ مَا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيهِ مِنْ مُناقَشَاتٍ وَتَفْصِيلاتٍ، وآراءٍ وَرُدودٍ، وتَحقِيقاتٍ وتَحْرِيراتٍ، وَمُقارَناتٍ وَضَوابِطَ وتَنْبِيهاتٍ، سار فيه سَيرَ الرَّاسِخِينَ، وَأَفادَ بِهِ المُعلِّمينَ والمُقْرِئِين: فَمِنْ عِلْمِ التَّحَمُّلِ وَتَلَقِّي القُرآنِ والإِجازَةِ وأَحْوالِها، إلَى عِلمِ الأداءِ القُرآنيِّ وَكَيفِيَّةِ التِّلاوةِ. وَمِنْ عِلْمِ الوَقْفِ والابتِداءِ، إِلَى عِلْمِ رَسْمِ المَصاحِفِ والمَقْطُوعِ والمَوصُولِ. وَمِنْ عِلْمِ عَدِّ الآيِ والفَواصِلِ وَعِلْمِ الضَّبْطِ، إِلَى عِلْمِ الأَصْواتِ بِمُصطَلَحاتِهِ وَأَهَمِّ قَضاياهُ، وُقوفًا عِندَ التَّكبِيرِ وخَتْمِ القُرآنِ الكريمِ. جاءَ هَذا الكِتابُ مِنْ آخِرِ مَا أَلَّفَهُ إِلَى حِينِهِ فَضِيلَةُ الدُّكتور: يَحيَى عَبدِ الرزَّاقِ الغَوثَانِيِّ حَفِظَهُ اللهُ.
