Al-Hadi fi Al-Qira'at al-Sab'

(The Guide to the Seven Recitations of the Holy Quran)

The first sciences that scholars focused on are the sciences of the Holy Qur’an, especially the science of Qur’anic recitations, in order to control, regulate and preserve them. Al-Hadi by Muhammad Ibn Sufyan Al-Qayrawani is considered one of the old books found in relation to the science of recitations as it is one of the best books written on this science, such as (Al-Tayseer, Al-'unwan, AL-Kafi, Al-Tabsira, Al-Qasid, Al-Rawdha, Al-Mujtaba, Al-Tathqira, Al-'Irshad, Al-Sab'a, and Al-Mustanir) and others of the great sources which Ibn Al-Jazari used as references. That is why this book is one of the sources for writing Al-Nashr by Ibn Al-Jazari as he highlighted the role of Ibn Sufyan Al-Qayrawani in the science of readings as well as his position among the scholars who dealt with this science in the Hijri fourth and fifth centuries.

This book was edited and studied by Dr. Yahya Al-Ghawthani, a specialist and expert in the science of recitations, and the result was a book of a great value and an accurate editing.
